There have been claims that Carlisle United fans set off fireworks outside Bradford City's hotel in the middle of the night before the play-off second leg.
Reports and social media footage show the fireworks being set off just after 3am on the morning of Saturday's game at Brunton Park.
Car horns are also said to have been blasted.
It came hours before Paul Simpson's Blues beat Mark Hughes' Bantams 3-1 to clinch a 3-2 aggregate victory and reach the League Two final at Wembley.
Hotel guest John Bradford tweeted: “Hi Plymouth fan. Up in Lakes for a couple of days and team staying in same hotel.
“There was a 15 min firework display at 3am last night. No idea who behind (though could guess) but everyone would have been awake!”
Bradford had stayed overnight in Cumbria as part of their preparations for the second leg, with Hughes' side leading 1-0 from the first leg.
