TWO PEOPLE have been arrested for immigration offences in the Penrith area.
Cumbria Police and immigration enforcement agencies from the Home Office carried out visits in the Eden area on May 22.
A woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of 'working in breach of visa conditions' and a second man was also arrested as authorities conducted visits at two separate addresses.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Eden police and Immigration enforcement agencies have worked in partnership today carrying out site visits in the Eden area.

"Police attended two addresses in the Penrith area as part of work with UK Immigration.
"At the first address, police assisted and a woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of working in breach of visa conditions.
"At the second address police assisted and a man was arrested and has since been released on bail," they said.
