POLICE have confirmed a 14-year-old boy who was airlifted to hospital following a fatal incident at the River Eden is now in a 'critical but stable condition'. 

The teenager had been in critical condition in hospital ever since four teenage boys had got into difficulty in the River Eden near Rosehill, Carlisle, on Friday evening (May, 26). 

Tragically, the body of 15-year-old Lewis Michael Kirkpatrick was discovered on Saturday afternoon (May,27).
