One of the biggest names in the sport of boxing has been pictured at a Cumbrian restaurant with his wife.

The WBC heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury and his wife Paris were pictured at Fantails restaurant in Wetheral this week as the couple enjoyed some time together.

Fury, who hails from Manchester, was wearing a Manchester United top just hours after they lost the FA Cup final to Manchester City at Wembley stadium.

The restaurant said on social media: “It was an absolute pleasure to serve The Gypsy King & his beautiful wife Paris last night.”

Tyson Fury is undefeated in 34 fights with the only blemish on his record being a controversial draw with American boxer, Deontay Wilder in the first of their iconic three fight trilogy.

Fans of the boxer were quick to come to Fantails once word had got out that he was there and Fury, who is also known as ‘The Gypsy King’ was happy to sign autographs and be pictured with fans.

Fans were quick to pay tribute to Tyson and Paris Fury, with one saying, “They were such a lovely couple. I had a good laugh with Tyson about the football. They were lovely to my daughter” whilst others worried how many times Fury, who is six feet nine inches tall, banged his head on the low ceilings.

Fury’s next opponent in the ring has yet to be announced with fans hoping to see him fight WBO, WBA and IBF champion, Oleksandr Usyk, or former two time world champion, Anthony Joshua.
