An initiative ran by Carlisle Vineyard Church which sees hundreds of people and dozens of businesses giving time and resources for good causes is returing from June 30 until July 7.
In previous years, Carlisle College has committed to giving all staff the opportunity to take part in the Give a Day to the City initiative which was launched in 2015.
Last year over 150 members of staff took part in a variety of projects around the city from litter picking to painting, and putting smiles on locals faces by delivering plants and cakes.

This year however, Carlisle College is going one step further and inviting their apprentices to give back to the city in the Apprenticeship Give a Day Takeover on Friday, June 30
The Carlisle College Apprenticeship Takeover is aiming to support projects at Hospice at Home, James Rennie School and Carlisle Mencap.
However, in order to make this happen, the college are reaching out to the businesses and employers they work with to ask if they can pledge the time of their apprentice to contribute to a community project within the city.
