A 15-year-old remains in a 'critical condition' following a road traffic 'incident' in Appleby over the weekend.
Officers investigating the incident in Appleby arrested a man on Sunday, June 11 on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The arrest was part of efforts by officers to establish the full circumstances of how the 15-year-old came to be injured.
The arrested man has since been released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.

The 15-year-old remains in hospital in a critical condition.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said that they "are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed what occurred and has yet to come forward to do so.
