There have been reports of a house fire in the Maryport area that occurred through the night.
Fire services were called out to deal with the blaze which has reportedly affected the former Vicarage property on Church Terrace.
Firefighters were called out at 11pm last night and residents had to be evacuated.
Rumours circulated that pets had been killed in the fire but it is said that they escaped the building with one dog still missing.
