Austin Friars School in Carlisle have been sharing their news after a busy start to the final half term of the school year.
The sun shone for Junior 4 during their sponsored walk to Angle Tarn recently where they were raising money for Blood Bikes Cumbria.
Blood Bikes Cumbria are a medical courier service which transports anything that needs moved from one hospital to another, including bloods, tissue samples, urgent medical supplies, records and equipment.
After the walk the pupils returned to school for an evening of rounders, pizzas, treats and games followed by a sleepover in the Junior School classrooms.
Austin Friars also held a lower school ball. Pupils from the first, second and third forms ‘dressed to impress’ for the lower school ball which is held every year and is an eagerly anticipated event in the school’s calendar.
In the beautiful summer sunshine, they gathered to share a delicious meal together, play some dinner games, and then dance the night away with a disco in the new hall.
