A UNIQUE image of two stoats fighting featured on BBC Springwatch and was captured by a News & Star Camera Club member.
Carrie Calvert, from Milton near Brampton, is a physiotherapy technician on the acute stroke unit at the Cumberland Infirmary.
She took the photograph in early June and said she was contacted by BBC Springwatch, who saw the photo on the British Wildlife Photography Facebook page.
Springwatch follows British wildlife as it changes throughout the season.
Carrie said: "I work full time but was on leave and able to get out at dawn and enjoy the wildlife.
"I was near Castle Carrock and it was around 5.30am in the morning. I was looking for a hare and just caught sight of a stoat playing in the road.
"I lay down actually and luckily one or two more came out of the dry stone wall to join it! The whole family. Very lucky, right place, right time for once. I used a Canon 7D and 400mm lens and held my breath."
