Laidlaw Auctioneers & Valuers have an 'exciting' two-day sale packed with rare documents offering an insight into Victorian Carlisle’s criminal and political past, a rare ex-SAS wristwatch, a lifetime’s collection of Wargaming model soldiers and a fishing section.

There are two standouts in the watch section this month, a 1960s British military contract Omega Seamaster 300 and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust stainless steel wristwatch.

The Omega Seamaster 300 wristwatches are highly coveted by anyone who enjoys an iconic timepiece, this watch is a standout because it was issued by the British Military and worn by a local serviceman who served with the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment and the SAS.

The Rolex carries a smaller estimate of £2,000 - £3,000, making it a more affordable but still iconic piece.

It has a radial brushed silvered face and stainless steel strap, perfect for man or woman alike.

Another feature of this months sale is their 'dazzling' collection of walking sticks and staffs; from an antique Zulu chieftain’s staff to a George V gold mounted ebony walking stick, the range on offer is sure to impress.
