A charming spot on the Cumbrian coast has been named one of the cheapest seaside locations to rent in the entire UK.
Costing almost half the Great British average of £1,396 per calendar month (pcm), Whitehaven was deemed one of the cheapest by experts at Rightmove, and the price is incredible.
The warm summer months entice Brits to the seaside each year, with some choosing to stay there all year long.
For those looking to rent a home by the coast, Skegness was ranked the cheapest location, with the current average asking rent for a home now £659 pcm.

Whitehaven is a stunning Georgian town situated on the west coast of Cumbria, which was one of the first post-renaissance planned towns in the country.
Built on shipping and mining, both industries have now declined.
That said, Whitehaven is indisputably an attractive town and is one of the 40 Gem Towns in England (the only other in Cumbria being Cockermouth).
For an average of £719 a month, you really can't help but feel that is an absolute steal for such a stunning spot on the coast.
Rightmove’s property expert Tim Bannister said: “The significant increase in interest for coastal areas during the pandemic continues to influence many buyer and renter choices for where to live today, particularly with flexible working further away from traditional cities now more of an option for many people.”
