After only a few months of resting from his previous charity challenge in March, Tik Tok content creator Michael Wise, 39, decided to take his next charity challenge to the skies.
Michael decided to do the skydive as he was overwhelming by the support he gained after he walked from Carlisle to Newcastle for MIND charity in a week earlier this year and decided to fundraise for for 'Every Life Matters'.
After completing the challenge on Saturday, June 24, he has raised £480.
"After the walk I did at the start of the year for mind I was wanting to do something else but wasn't sure what to do," Michael from Carlisle said.
"It was only after seeing a section on ITV border about the local charity 'Every Life Matters', that I knew straight away that's who I wanted to do this fundraiser for.
"I talked about it on a live stream on TikTok and it was decided it was a skydive.
"A friend of mine from Dumfries is always doing it and has wanted me to do it for a long time.
"So I decided why not?
"It was my first ever skydive and my friend was even kind enough to jump with me to film it all on the day.
"I was so nervous but everyone at Skydive NorthWest were so reassuring and friendly including my sky dive tandam instructer, who kept me calm after the jump.
"I can honestly say it was a unbelievable experience and I will definitely do it again.
"I will be planning to do something else to raise money for a charity accosiated with mental health not sure what il do yet but il let my tiktok followers decide the challenge."
With the challenge, Michael also hopes to be an advocate to those struggling with mental health.
He adds:"After facing my own struggles in the past and bouncing back; I'm trying to not only raise money to help with a growing problem but also spread awareness and to prove to people that you can do absolutely anything you want if your in the right head space and even when your faced with hard times and uncertainty.
"Things will always get better."
