The date has been set and queens selected for a village carnival which always proves popular.
Broughton Children’s Carnival will be held on Saturday, July 15.
Carnival Queen this year is Eleanor-Mae Kirton.
The other royalty are: Retiring Queen - Amelia Fisher; Herald - Evie Rolls; Rose Queen - Paige Moore; Fairy Queen - Lottie-Henrietta Pike; Snow Queen - Emma Fisher; Ivy Queen - Esmé Little; Prince - Jack Edger; Princess - Lilly Edger; Britannia - Elizabeth Stephenson; Miss Broughton - Eden Gray; Coronation King - Alfie Jenkins. The procession goes through Great and Little Broughton ending on the Welfare Field where the crowning ceremony will take place at about 4pm.
Villagers line the street to enjoy all the colourful action.
"There's always a good atmosphere," said secretary Anne Davis.
"Anyone is welcome to take part. They just turn up at the top of the School Field on Moor Road by 1.30pm for a prompt 2pm start."
Glencorse Pipe Band and Mossley Band will be joining the carnival fun.
Visiting Queens are welcome. There is no judging, apart from Entertainment on Route.

Fletcher’s Fair, various stalls, an ice cream van and a hot dog van will be on the Welfare Field.
All children under 16 in the procession will receive a ticket for one free fair ride.A rolling Road Closure Order will be in place between 2pm and 4pm.
