Cumbrian netball star Helen Housby is aiming for Grand Final glory this weekend.
She will be a key player as Australian club New South Wales Swifts take on Adelaide Thunderbirds in the Suncorp Super Netball decider.
England star Housby is hoping for a third title with the Sydney-based side after victories in 2019 and 2021.
She helped the Swifts reach the final by beating West Coast Fever in the preliminary final.
The 28-year-old, from Drumleaning near Wigton, is hoping for a memorable weekend.
“It feels pretty surreal – obviously 2019 and 2021 hold some pretty special memories for us,” she told the Swifts website.
“We seem to like odd numbers so hopefully in 2023 we can do more of the same.”
Housby is expected to have a key role in England’s bid for World Cup glory later this year.
But for the moment club success is firmly in her sights against a side who defeated the Swifts in the Major Semi Final.
“I’d say more the excitement and will to win another Premiership is what drives me more than anything,” the Cumbrian added ahead of Saturday's final.
“I am not going into the game filled with disappointment or revenge, it’s more so about doing what we know we can do, sticking to our own game plan.
“We want to make this all about us. I don’t care who we play in the Final: that’s just the team thats trying to stop us get a Premiership. We are just fully focused on what we can do to control the outcome.”
