The preliminary round draws of the FA Cup have thrown up a potential Cumbrian derby.
Penrith are in line to meet Kendal Town if they come through their respective extra preliminary round ties.
Today’s draw handed Penrith a home tie against Boro Rangers – though the venue for the game will need to be determined with the Leo Group Stadium out of action until early autumn with a new artificial pitch being laid.
Kendal, meanwhile, are at home to Consett.
Both ties are scheduled for Saturday, August 5, with £1,125 on offer to the winners.
And the preliminary round meeting between the Cumbrian clubs, should they both progress, will be on August 19.
Again, Penrith have the home tie but their ground is not expected to be ready by then.
Also in the extra preliminary round, Carlisle City were handed a trip to Whickham Town.
Should they progress, a home tie against Whitley Bay or Garforth Town will await.
The draw has also been made for the first round qualifying of the FA Vase, with games to be played on August 26.
Penrith were drawn at home to Pickering Town with Carlisle City at home to Garstang and Kendal at home to Route One Rovers.
Victory would see Penrith away to Ryton & Crawcrook Albion in the second round qualifying on September 23, with Carlisle City hoping to secure an away tie against Colne or Newcastle Benfield.
Kendal, should they progress through the first round qualifying, will take on Newcastle University at home.
