Drainage improvements works by Cumberland Council are set to begin on Newtown Road, Carlisle.
The improvements will take place between numbers 265 to 291 on Newtown Road and are scheduled to start on Monday, July 17 with a completion date of Friday, July 28.
The works will take place from approximately 8am until 4pm each day.
To enable the council to complete works safely there will be a full road closure with a signed diversion route in place.
People are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated diversion route.
The road closure will continue over the weekend of Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23.

There may be some disruption at times for residents, and the council are asking that residents find alternative parking.
If residents or businesses require access to their property, we kindly request that this is discussed with the Traffic Marshal who will be on site during the works.
