A number of towns in Cumbria have featured on a list of the UK's best value-for-money adventure destinations.
HomeToGo has released a new ranking revealing whereabouts in Great Britain outdoor enthusiasts can find more adventure for their money this summer.
Created using internal price data alongside insights as to hiking paths, biking trails and climbing routes, the ranking names 12 Scottish, seven Welsh and six English locations amongst the top 25 places in Great Britain to visit for a great value adventure trip.
The Cumbrian destinations of Keswick, Alston, Kirkby Stephen, Bassenthwaite, and Braithwaite made it onto the list in 2nd, 13th, 15th, joint 19th and joint 22nd place.
Keswick finishing second with a score of 32.3/40 is perhaps no surprise when you consider it boasts beautiful sights that can be seen on waterside walks to viewpoints like Friars Crag, or during ascents of Blencathra and Skiddaw.
Given that there were only six English locations named on the list, it is a testament to Cumbria that five towns would feature and suggests that it could be another popular holiday destination this summer.
