Part of a road in Carlisle will close for almost two weeks for roadworks.

It affects a section of the B5307 - known as Newtown Road - which will be closed between 8am and 4pm daily, from July 17 to 30.

The closure will affect the road from its junction with Shadygrove Road and Burgh Road, and is in place while roadworks are carried out.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained throughout.
