EDEN Police are warning supermarket bosses to be on the alert after youngsters have been stealing sweets and soft drinks from the town centre.
If shoppers spot ant suspicious activity contact security or contact police on 101
A police spokesman said: "Eden Police have received complaints of young people stealing items including soft drinks and sweets from local supermarkets in Penrith town centre. "Police are working closely with local businesses through Penrith shop watch scheme and local schools to tackle this crime."
