Cumbrian racing driver Frank Bird came through sweltering heat in Italy to emerge with victory.
The Penrith driver and Australian team-mate Jordan Love came out on top in the Silver Cup class at Misano.
It was part of round two of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.
Bird and Love, racing for the German-based Haupt Racing Team in the Paul Bird Motorsport and Hager-backed Mercedes-AMG GT3, were third fastest in free practice before claiming second in pre-qualifying and then claiming pole from qualifying.
In the hour-long opening race last Saturday, Love made a solid start before Bird took over for the second half-hour and brought the car home in first.
Sunday’s race, in even hotter conditions as seriously high temperatures hit continental Europe, saw the duo finish just short of another podium finish in fourth.
Bird said: “Saturday was a mega day with pole and win in the Silver Cup class showing we had good pace overall also.
“[Sunday] was not the best day as we seemed to lose some performance, so qualifying wasn’t fully maximised which put us slightly further back than planned on the grid.
“The race was tricky but we just didn’t have the overall pace and we fought till the end to finish P4.
“Not the smoothest day but Saturday made up for it”.
