A CARLISLE school will remain closed for the rest of summer due to water damage caused by a 'leak'.
St John Henry Newman Catholic School experienced the leak over the weekend (July 15 and 16, 2023).
"Parents/carers have been emailed and texted with an update. School will be closed for the remainder of the term," the school wrote on social media.
"This is not the way in which we had hoped to end our summer term, but would like to wish all our pupils a restful break and we will see all pupils back for the start of the autumn term."
The school will re-open on September 6.
The council has been contacted for comment.
