CARLISLE Foodbank and the McDonald's branch on London Road have announced a new partnership to help combat hunger in the community.

The collaboration aims to provide support for those in need through various initiatives whilst highlighting hunger awareness.

Carlisle Foodbank, a non-profit charity, works with local businesses to provide nutritious emergency food bags to families and individuals referred by agencies.

The partnership with McDonald's will further enhance their efforts to raise awareness about hunger and offer crucial support to those experiencing crises.

The partnership will involve food collections and volunteer opportunities for McDonald's employees.

Steph, the manager of Carlisle Foodbank, said: "We are thrilled to be working with McDonald's to help make a difference in our community."

The company frequently partners with organisations to support local individuals in need.

Owen Evans-Vogl, business manager of McDonald's Carlisle on London Road, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

"We are delighted to form what we hope is a long-term partnership with Carlisle Foodbank to provide much needed support to families and individuals in the local community."
