Carlisle Cathedral is set to be transformed into a stargazing spot this week as part of the 'Rest Under The Stars' installation.
After the success of last year's event, which saw hundreds of visitors from across from the globe descend on Carlisle as part of the cathedral's 900th anniversary celebrations, it is set to make its return from July 26 until September 1.
Deckchairs, scatter cushions, and a bespoke soundscape created by Prism Arts will be provided free of charge thanks to the support of Hayward Tod, the Cumbria Foundation, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Visitors can stretch out on deckchairs and admire the stars on the world-renowned ceiling of the cathedral, with the specially-created soundtrack sure to leave people feeling well-rested and relaxed.
Free family activities will also be available throughout the cathedral's opening times.
