A COUNTRY PUB and restaurant in the heart of Dalston is set to reopen under new landlords next month, it has been revealed on social media.
The Blue Bell, on The Square in Dalston, announced its closure back in March, due to a 'massive increase in costs'.
In a social media post at the time, the former owners announced that they 'tried to keep the pub going as long' as they could, but due to rising costs, it was no longer possible.
However, to much excitement amongst the community, a post on community Facebook page, Dalston Crack, revealed that the iconic pub would be reopening, with hopes of pouring pints in time for the Dalston Festival and the Dalston Show, which starts on August 5 and runs until August 12.
On the Facebook page, the post read: "Mike, Jane & Spud (Black) will soon be the landlord & landlady of the BlueBell Dalston.
"They are getting the keys on July 27 and hope to be open for Dalston festival week/Dalston show!
"We wish them well," it said.
