FOR this weeks edition of nostalgia, we have looked back at some of the famous faces that have visited Cumbria throughout the years.
A young Freddie Starr is pictured chatting to club-goes at the Talk of the Border in Carlisle in 1970. Freddie Starr was an English stand up comedian, impressionist, singer and actor.
Mary Chipperfield is shown with one of the chimps from Chipperfields Circus at a recording at Border Television in 1980. Mary was a 1970s British circus entertainer who specialised in a chimpanzee act and even helped with the Doctor Doolittle film!
Modern artists such as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, The Strokes and Paloma Faith have all graced Carlisle with an apperance in the past at Carlisle Races and the Big Weekend.
One of the biggest names to visit Carlisle has been the Beatles. They performed at the ABC Cinema stage in Carlisle in 1963 for the second time within a few months.
