The Royal Scot has bought in a life size Barbie Doll Box in celebration of the new Barbie blockbuster which fans have been flocking to see in cinemas over the past week.

The box is set to be a part of their free family fun day which is taking place on Saturday.

Designed for families to ‘relax’ and ‘let their hair down’, the pub’s managers have brought in a bouncy castle, a kids’ disco alongside free hot dogs.

The fun day is part of the pub’s community focused outlook which is very important to the landlords, Jordan Morrison and Adam Smith.

The Royal Scot sadly closed its doors in September after previous landlords Mike and Maxine Grierson decided to retire, but the pub has been taken on by the two local lads and past regulars at the pub.

Since reopening in April the pub has proved to be popular with locals and its food and events have been receiving rave reviews.
