IN ORDER to meet summer months demand, a Lake District Wetherspoons has been bussing in staff from as far away as Merseyside.
The Chief Justice of Common Pleas, in Keswick, has also been enlisting the help of Wetherspoons staff from other areas in Cumbria.
These employees are also provided with accommodation locally, the pub chain confirmed.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “Our Keswick pub sees an increase in customers in the summer months from visitors to the Lake District using the town.
"To meet this additional demand, we are temporarily using employees from other Wetherspoon pubs in Cumbria as well as Merseyside for whom we provide accommodation locally," he said.
