Carlisle United have today snapped up young Premier League striker Luke Plange on loan.
The Crystal Palace forward has joined the Cumbrians in a half-season deal.
Plange, 20, bolsters Paul Simpson’s attack in the final week before the new League One campaign.
An Eagles team-mate of former Blues loanee John-Kymani Gordon, Plange was on loan in the third tier with Lincoln City last season.
He came through Arsenal’s academy before moving to Derby County in 2021, joining Palace a year later – since when he has been loaned back to Derby as well as enjoying a loan spell in Belgium with RWD Molenbeek.
He is also an England Under-20 international.
Plange is the second new striker to join the Cumbrians in the space of four days following Sean Maguire’s move on Saturday.
He comes with League One experience after making four starts and 14 sub appearances without scoring for Lincoln last term.
Plange becomes Carlisle’s ninth summer signing while manager Simpson is expected to bring in a goalkeeper on loan soon.
