Housby, 28, from Drumleaning near Wigton, produced more nerveless shooting throughout to keep England's hopes on track in the last-four tie.
A closely-contested game was locked at 40-40 going into the last five minutes but England finished on top after a superb final quarter.
They will now look to win the World Cup for the first time, their best result in the tournament's history being a runner-up finish in 1975 in a round-robin contest.
The final is at 5pm UK time at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and will be live on the BBC.
