IN A HEARTWARMING gesture, a brewery has launched a new product line with 15p from every pint sold going to suicide prevention efforts.
The Great Corby Brewhouse, in Great Corby, have released 3 Dads Walking On Water, in tribute to Andy Airey from Cumbria, Mike Palmer and Tim Owen's journey in raising awareness about suicide prevention following the death of their three daughters, Sophie, Beth, and Emily.
The idea came about following a discussion between the brewery and one of the dad's locals, The Strickland Arms, near Penrith.
"One of the three dads goes to one of the pubs where we supply ale, The Strickland Arms, they asked if we would get involved.
"It's something that affects many, many people - we wanted to give something back," said director Sandra Hall.
The recipe has been designed by brewer Andrew Hammond.
Whilst times are difficult for brewers up and down the country, it won't deter the brewery from donating profits to Papyrus, a UK suicide prevention charity.
"Once it's all been sold, we will donate the money to Papyrus directly.
"There will also be a QR code on the pumps at the bar and also on posters, people will be able to donate that way as well," Sandra said.
In a post on social media, the brewery said: "Together, we hope to make a meaningful impact and spread awareness and help prevent the devastating loss of young lives due to suicide.
"Together, we can create a future where young lives are protected and families are spared from such heartbreak.
"Your every pint can make a difference.
"Join us in raising awareness and making a positive change. Together, we can be the driving force for hope and support," they said.
3 Dads Walking on Water will be available to purchase throughout Cumbria and the northeast.
You can also order your very own black mini keg via the Great Corby Brewhouse website.
