PLANS to build a new agricultural building in the Penrith area have been approved.
Ben Taylor, from A Dyer, had applied for planning permission for the development which will be on land north of Bowscar Road, Bowscar, Penrith.
The permission will allow the applicants to build a new portal frame building over an existing livestock handling area.
According to the decision notice issued by the council, full planning permission for the development has been granted.
In the notice Gareth Candlin, the council’s assistant director of inclusive and green growth, said the consent was subject to a number of conditions including that the development should start within three years.
Mr Candlin added: “This property is within a conservation area. All building works should, therefore, be completed with great care.
“External facing work and detailed treatment should be finished in a manner sympathetic to the existing building.
“If there is any doubt about the way in which work should be carried out, you should seek formal pre application advice from the planning department of Eden District Council through their pre application advice service.”
