CASTLETOWN Estate in Carlisle will be opening its doors to the public for a theatre event for the first time in the estates history which back to the 1800s.
The estate will host Slapstick Picnic during their UK tour as they perform Peter Pan. The show will be performed outdoors at the estates new staging, although they have wet weather provisions in place if weather permits this.
Castletown has put together picnic boxes which will be available to purchase so those attending can enjoy the show and create the perfect atmosphere for Slapstick Picnic's show.
Danielle Pearl from Castletown Estate said: "We are so excited. We will be opening the doors an hour before so guests can wander, look at the garden and enjoy the surrondings."
"We are all interested in arts, theatre and anything creative. Everyone is also parents who work and live at the estate so we want things to do for the children and since COVID, it's nice to get outdoors and do things again."
The event will take place on August 31 at Castletown Woodland Weddings at Rockcliffe. Doors will open at 6 and tickets can be purchased on the tickettailor website.
