A business networking event will cover the risks of cybercrime and demonstrate the importance of cybersecurity updates.
All businesses are being invited to attend the event at Penrith’s North Lakes hotel and spa on September 13, 2023.
Talks from cybersecurity experts Jake Moore and Alexander Stoyanov from Slovak software company ESET; Martin Lethbridge from computer security company WatchGuard and; Cyprian Ndlovu from David Roberts & Partners Insurance.
All speakers will be covering the risks of cybercrime to businesses and how catastrophic a breach can be.
The event, put on by Carlisle-based IT business Logic Business Systems, said: “Cyber security is relevant to everyone, whether they’re a self-employed one-man band or a huge multi-site enterprise.
“We’re aiming to raise awareness to all businesses about the risks of insufficient cyber security and how detrimental it can be to not just themselves but also their customers.
“There is also the opportunity to network with other local businesspeople, allowing them to chat about their own businesses and make new connections.
“The event is totally free and includes breakfast, lunch, tea and coffee, networking and all the mentioned presentations.
“Lots of free knowledge to implement onto their own businesses and handy products suggestions from industry-leading experts to keep them safe.
“Everyone is welcome.”
