HIGH school sweethearts have got married in front of family and friends at the Crown & Mitre Hotel in Carlisle.
As teenagers, Megan Leigh Tiffin, 22, and Conor William Macleod, 24, knew they were perfect for each other when they met at Richard Rose Central Academy in Carlisle and they have been inseparable ever since.
"We have been together from a really young age and started our family at the age of 16 and 17, when our first child was born," Megan explains.
"Now have three children."
"We got engaged after having our second child, a little girl, in 2019. Conor hid the ring box in our newborn's Moses basket and when I found it, he got our little boy to say: ‘Daddy wants to know if you will marry him.’"
After the engagement announcement, the pair organised their stag and hen do's in Carlisle town centre.
Megan's hen party was at the Halston Hotel and Conor's stag do was Carlisle Venue. The pair got married on July 14.
Megan wore a beautiful Simply Koko dress and was accompanied down the aisle by her bridesmaids Rebecca Corson, Katie Watson and Shona Macleod followed by her flower girls, daughter Scarlett and Layla.
The ring boys were her two sons Ellis and Frankie. Waiting at the altar with Conor was his best man and dad Stuart Macleod.
Conor and Megan had 50 day guests and 50 night guests and their favours were personalised cookies with the date and Mr&Mrs on.
The children’s favours were activity packs.
The happy couple cut a three-tier cake which was pink and navy with detail with three different flavours of vanilla, chocolate and lemon.
"After cutting and eating the cake we had our first dance as man and wife. We chose the song Biblical by Calum Scott then we enjoyed the DJ for the rest of the night," she added.
"Our favourite moment of the day was when we first seen each other and the feeling of knowing we were in this together forever.
"We haven’t yet been on a honeymoon as having three children and going away makes things difficult!"
