Helen Skelton, television presenter and former Blue Peter host, is 'feeling guilty' after entering the dating scene following her split from her husband Richie Myler.
The couple, who had been married for almost 10 years, parted ways last April.
Shortly after Helen, a former Strictly Come Dancing finalist, gave birth to their third child, Richie moved out of their marital home, which is now reportedly up for sale.
Richie has since entered into a relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, and the couple welcomed a baby girl in April of this year.
A source told Closer Magazine: "Helen’s family and friends encouraged her to get back out there and she was happy to dip her toe back into the dating scene.
"But she has had some wobbles and found herself feeling guilty. She’s concerned about who to let into her life and worried about being judged for any decisions she makes.
"There have also been some people who have made comments about her not trying hard enough to make it work with Richie, and it’s made her think about her marriage and what went wrong.
"Ultimately, she knows she tried everything she could, and once the trust was broken there was just no going back. But dating again has brought up some unexpected feelings that she’s been struggling with."
Since the split, Helen has been largely focused on her family and recently celebrated her 40th birthday surrounded by her three children.
Sharing a video of herself on social media, she said: "Milked it. Celebrated. Grateful for another spin around the sun. Marked the actual big bday doing things that make me smile with people that make me smile.
"If anyone asks you 'how do you feel about turning forty?' Suggest they watch the 90’s Meryl Streep/Goldie Hawn film 'Death Becomes Her'.”
Helen recently revised a social media post after it was found to breach BBC advertising guidelines.
Helen had included specific clothing brands in her recent Instagram posts relating to a stint on the show Morning Live. The Cumbrian born presenter appeared as a stand-in on the BBC One show.
