Cumbrian badminton star Lauren Smith is aiming for World Championships success this week.
The Longtown player is competing on two fronts at the tournament in Denmark.
Smith will team up with Chloe Birch in the women’s doubles, and Marcus Ellis in the mixed doubles.
The women’s doubles sees Smith and Birch begin their campaign against Singapore duo Yu Jia Jin and Jia Ying Crystal Wong.
A second round tie against Chinese 12th seeds Wen Mei Lee and Xuan Xuan Liu awaits the winners.
The first round game is played on Tuesday – the same day Smith and Ellis launch their mixed doubles campaign.
They take on Australian pair Kenneth Zhe Hooi Choo and Gronya Somerville.
Should Smith and Ellis come through that contest, they will face French eighth seeds Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue.
The TotalEnergies BWF World Championships run from August 21 to 27.
