A PROMINENT building facing the Victoria Viaduct is set to go under the hammer next month.
Victory House, a six-storey building in Carlisle, will be open for bidding come September 19, with the auction being hosted by Pugh Auctions.
The auction guide price is listed at £350,000.
Previously, offers in the region of £675,000 for the freehold interest in the property were being accepted.
The 27,000-square-foot property is considered suitable for a range of mixed commercial and residential uses.
The entire building is currently vacant pending sale, with the lower levels of the property having been unused for many years, making up for basic storage space.
The building is located next to the former Central Plaza Hotel before it was demolished in 2020.
The current Central Plaza Hotel land is 'effectively ownerless' and has been passed to The Crown Estate.
Cumberland Council 'anticipate' that the potential investor would come from their recommendations following the expressions of interest previously received.
