Police are investigating an assault where a man was beaten by four people in the night.

The incident happened on July 7, 2023, in the area of Pow Street, Workington, at around 7:30pm.

The man, in his 30s, was walking down the street and was assaulted by the four people from behind, being knocked to the ground before being kicked and punched.

The man did not go to hospital afterwards but was lieft with facial injuries including cuts and bruises.

Police said the offenders were wearing balaclavas at the time of the assault. 

They were described as being in dark clothing.

One was said to have ginger hair and another was on a bike.

It is believed that these offenders were young.

Officers are asking if there is anyone with any information regarding these individuals to come forward to help with the investigation.
