UPDATE: Sarah has now been found
Police are asking the public if they've seen a woman who has gone missing this morning (September 12).
Carlisle woman Sarah Gate, 38, is described as white, around 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with shoulder-length dark brown hair in a ponytail.
She was last seen wearing all black.
Officers believe she may be travelling to the Newcastle area.
Officers are encouraging Sarah to contact the police if she sees this appeal.
They would also like to hear from anyone who sees Sarah or has knowledge of her whereabouts.
