A RESTAURANT in Carlisle is moving to a more prominent city centre location.
OKA Tapasu, an Asian fusion restaurant, will move to Greenmarket, taking over the space where Alex's Pasta Bar once operated.
Serving dishes described as Japanese/Korean tapas, OKA Tapasu will move from their former location in Carlyle Court on September 23, and will operate from the new location, by the old town hall, from September 29.
On Facebook, a spokesperson from OKA Tapasu said the new location will offer more private dining space for groups of between eight and 12 people, a larger bar offering Asahi on draft and Salt Juice IPA, will have regular opening hours Tuesday to Saturday and open on Sundays and bank holiday weekends.
Bookings continue to be taken as normal at www.okatapasu.co.uk.
Alex's Pasta Bar, an Italian restaurant and takeaway, announced it will no longer be serving customers from their former location on July 28 this year.
On Facebook, a spokesperson from the restaurant said: "Unfortunately, we have to announce a closure of Alex's Pasta Bar restaurant in the city centre.
"Thank you to every and each of you who supported our business since it was established in 2019 - we wouldn't be able to do it without you.
We know the world is full of choices, thank you for choosing us."
Alex's Pasta Bar still sells food however, and moved to the St Nicholas Arms pub on London Road from where it has offered takeaway, pick up, and deliveries since August 19.
They take orders via the food-ordering app FoodHub and telephone orders on 07894 340003 or 01228 493121.
