A vet in Cumbria earned superhero status after saving the life of a 10-week-old puppy who became sick after eating a Batman figurine.
Charlie, the spaniel puppy, visited Belle Vue Vets in Wigton after being sick around eight times in the space of an hour.
Vet Caroline was on call and discovered a blockage in Charlie's abdomen following an X-ray, which was later discovered to be caused by the superhero figurine.
Fortunately, Charlie had only digested the Dark Knight rather than Robin as well, and surgery saw the small toy removed from his intestines.
Teamwork from all those at Belle Vue Vets ensured that the spaniel puppy made a full recovery and was able to return home the following day.
