Police are investigating a burglary in Heads Nook, east of Carlisle, are continuing their appeal for information from the public.

At some point between Friday 15 and Monday, September 18, the following items were stolen during a burglary: a men's Garrard automatic gold watch with a gold flex wristband, with a round cream face, a grey, round face, men’s wristwatch inscribed with a message from FERGUSON BROTHERS, a women's square Rotary gold watch with pearlised face and a Swiss army knife, which was new, red and silver with a Swiss flag motif.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, including persons or vehicles, in the Heads Nook area that weekend.

Officers are also looking to identify any CCTV of three men in the Warwick Bridge, Burnrigg, and Little Corby areas on September 12.

The men have been cold calling on various addresses, trying to sell artwork, and purporting to be deaf. Police are open-minded as to whether this is connected to the Heads Nook burglary.

Police would particularly like to trace any vehicle connected to the males, which may have been seen in the area on September 12.

Local residents are reminded to be extra vigilant and to ensure windows and doors are secure when they leave the house.
