Carlisle bare-knuckle boxing champion Danny Christie's next opponent has been confirmed.

The Currock man will take on top American fighter Jared Warren in his latest BKFC bout this autumn.

Christie and Warren will go head to head in Leeds on Saturday, November 18.

It will be the fourth fight of Christie's BKFC career and his first since he became British light-heavyweight champion.

The 38-year-old had initially been expecting to fight in Milton Keynes before that show was cancelled.

It then seemed likely that an event in Newcastle was on the cards - but now Christie will return to the city where he won his title belt against Anthony Holmes back in April.

Warren, from Florida, is an experienced professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.

He is ranked fourth in the light-heavyweight division - Christie is second - after seven fights on the BKFC scene.

Five of those have been victories along with two defeats for the man nicknamed 'Captain Deadpool'.

Warren's last contest saw a victory over Jay Jackson in Orlando last November.

For Christie the fight at BKFC 55 in Yorkshire will see the 38-year-old Cumbrian put his growing bare-knuckle reputation on the line against his first overseas opponent.

The Carlisle man, in his first three BKFC fights, defeated Terry Brazier and Darren Godfrey before knocking out Holmes to win the British title.

Christie's long-term goal is to earn a shot at world champion Lorenzo Hunt.

Whilst Christie prepares for his latest fight, the Carlisle man has also been making his small-screen debut.

He has a part in the new film 'A New Breed of Criminal'.

The Currock fighter plays boxer Mad Mickey Shaw in the film about Newcastle gangster Stephen Sayers.
