A NEW salon has been opened in Workington, with its long-standing hair stylist owners saying they are hoping to bring a ‘cool and natural’ feel to the shop.
Zoe Hebditch and Linzi Blackburn have opened the new Salon 25 on South Williamson Street in Workington.
After branching out on their own following covid, the two friends had a business for some time on Finkle Street, but decided to move premises due to rising bills, they have said that since moving into the new premises they have had had a ‘really nice, pleasant place’ to work.
Linzi and Zoe said: “We did have a business up on Finkle Street, but we have just moved into here, we worked together for my mum for years but after covid that is when we set up on our own.
“We have gone for a cool natural feel in the new shop, light and airy that’s what we have tried to go for.”
The pair say customers have been extremely supportive since they have opened the new salon, with their clients being impressed with the new premises.
Zoe and Linzi have a strong client base and say there long-standing partnership has always had their customer at the heart of what they do.
They said: “We just want to flow along like we are, we aren’t interested in being this big salon, we just want to float along like us, keeping our clients happy, we think sometimes it can be the smaller the better.
“We have just worked together for that long.”
The salon has several chairs available, with Zoe and Linzi saying they do get filled up with the pair working on different clients in the shop.
However, the hair stylists say ‘if the right person came along’ they would be happy to consider adding additional members to their team.
They said: “We are just really excited to have started in the new salon, and if somebody we knew was the right person approached us to come in we wouldn’t right it off, but we just plod along together really.”
