Earlier this week, American music sensation Taylor Swift confirmed the news that her hugely popular Eras tour will be turned into a concert film, which will be released around the globe next month.
Eight months before the real thing is due to hit the UK, the concert film will screen in British cinemas from Friday, October 13.
The singer-songwriter confirmed the news on her Instagram page, where the post would gain nearly five million likes.
She wrote: "The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!"
The UK leg of Swift’s latest tour would sell out rapidly online and will see her travel first to Edinburgh in June 2024 before going to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London.
The film, which was recorded over the first three of six nights that Swift played at the SoFi stadium in California in August, represents a great chance for 'Swifties' who didn't secure tickets to experience the tour.
However, with a run time of 165 minutes, it may not contain all 44 songs from the 33-year-old's three-hour setlist.
This will be Swift's fourth concert film following similar documentations of her albums Fearless, 1989, and Reputation.
Considering her huge following across the globe, her decision to create a concert film is sure to be a popular one in the UK and it also represents a cheaper alternative to seeing the real thing, where some VIP tickets cost as much as £660.
But where in Cumbria will you be able to see The Eras Tour Film next month?
All ODEON cinemas are showing the movie as are most VUE cinemas, but Cumbrian Swifties can also see the film at:
Vue Cinema - Carlisle
Alhambra Cinema – Penrith
The Ritz – Workington
Parkway Cinema – Workington
Rheged – Penrith
Tickets, which can be bought via the Eras Tour website, are priced anywhere between £13 to £20 for an adult ticket – with various discounts for children, senior citizens, and students, depending on the venue.
