A MAN who assaulted a police officer has been given a community order.
Robert Dias, 32, pleaded guilty to common assault of an emergency worker when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Dias, of Windermere Road, Whitehaven, assaulted the officer in Millom on September 18.
Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with 40 hours of unpaid work.
Dias was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge
