A new facelift has been given as scaffolding comes down, unveiling a new vibrant Shipping Brow Gallery on Maryport's historic harbourside.

The gallery, set to open in November, now boasts colours chosen by tenants Dolly and Brian Money and a sign designed by local artist Alan Roper.

The makeover is a result of the Paint the Town initiative; a collective effort between West Port Windows, Remmers, Maryport Business Group and Cumberland Council.

This initiative provides paint to business and residential property owners within Maryport's Future High Streets Fund investment area.

The gallery will host artist-in-residence Felix Butterwick from next month.
