Cumbrian law firm Bell Park Kerridge (BPK) is celebrating the promotion of a solicitor to associate level, whilst also welcoming two new colleagues.
The Kingstown-based business has chosen to promote Vince Lung, a 26-year-old residential and commercial property specialist.
Vince joined BPK as a trainee in 2019, qualified two years later, and is now advancing further in his career.
The firm's team also welcomes recent Durham University graduate Tors Glaister.
Tors finished a degree in Law in 2022 and completed a Masters of Law in Advanced Legal Practice at Northumbria University the following year.
The 23-year-old from Carlisle will embark on a two-year traineeship at BPK, starting with a six-month stint in the agrilaw team, followed by a similar length of time in three other law sections.
Abigail Davidson joins Tors in starting her career at BPK, commencing an apprenticeship as an office administrator.
Vince, a fluent Cantonese speaker and scrum half for Carlisle RFC, said: "I’m delighted to make this next move in my career. I’ve made so much progress in my time here and had fantastic support from the team here. I’m now really excited about what the next few years might hold.”
Echoing a similar sentiment, Glaister expressed her eagerness to progress her profession at BPK.
She said: “This is a great opportunity to begin my legal career in a business where I know I’ll get the support and training I need to develop. I’m delighted to have graduated and am now keen to start progressing my career and learning as much as I can from the experienced team here.”
Abigail added that she was "really excited" about learning from the team and taking the "first step" in her career.
BPK Managing Director James Bell said: “It’s always good to see people develop their careers and Vince has most definitely earned his promotion for the superb contribution he’s made to our team and in delivering the quality of service our clients rightly expect from us.
“It’s also great to see the next generation of our team join us and we’re excited to watch how both Tors and Abigail grow and develop with us in the coming months. We’ve shown time and again that BPK is a great place to develop your career as part of our experienced but friendly team and there’s no better place for them to be.”
