Keswick Cricket Club's annual sell-out fundraiser is set to return to the Theatre by the Lake.
On October 21 at 7.30pm, the club will host the popular event, featuring the entertainment of West Cumbria’s own La’al Big Band.
Known for delivering a blend of swing, jazz and pop in both classic and contemporary arrangements, the 19-piece ensemble is expected to enlighten the audience.
The evening will be filled with a mix of male and female vocals, popular instrumentals, and hits from icons like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, and Glen Miller.
Even pop and rock classics have been given a big band twist.
Formed in April 2011 by a group of enthusiastic musicians, the La’al Big Band was birthed to provide the Lake District with its unique swing and jazz orchestra.
Despite 'La'al' meaning 'little' in the Cumbrian dialect, this ensemble has a well-earned reputation for being far from 'little' when it comes to delivering a large-scale and entertaining experience.
The return of the fundraiser is set to be not only an enjoyable night out, but also a great way to support a community-focused sports club.
Tickets can be secured via the theatre’s website or directly from the box office.
