The high level of workmanship carried out at a Cumbrian housing development has been rewarded.
Robbie Maxwell, leading the team on the Wakefield Gardens development in Lazonby, was named the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Warranty Site Manager of the Year for the North East and Cumbria.
Robbie is heading up the team during the construction of 59 homes for Penrith-based housing developer Genesis Homes.
The LABC awards acknowledge the crucial role that site managers play in leading successful developments.
Finalists are rated on many criteria, including cooperation, health and safety, tidiness, site management standards and workmanship quality.
Robbie said: “The team at Genesis Homes prides itself on building high quality homes for our customers, and it’s nice for the team and I to get such prestigious recognition like this for our hard work.
“This award is for all those people involved in the Wakefield Gardens development who go above and beyond to ensure the highest standards are reached.
“It’s a great feeling to be named site manager of the year across the whole of the North East and Cumbria, and I’m really pleased to achieve this recognition for Genesis Homes.
“Lazonby is a beautiful little village which is well served by a local pub, shop and outdoor swimming pool, and we’re delighted to be able to provide homes in such a desirable location, giving homeowners the most stunning views of the Pennines from the development.”
The Managing Director of Genesis Homes, Nicky Gordon, commended Maxwell's team for their accomplishment.
Nicky said: “As a responsible housebuilder, Genesis Homes always strives to build high specification, energy efficient housing, and we’re incredibly proud to be creating much needed housing in Lazonby.
“Receiving the LABC Warranty Award underlines our commitment to reaching such high standards, and the recognition is rich rewards for Robbie and his team who are passionate about achieving the best results in everything they do.”
